The South Kaibab trail is one of the most popular day hiking trails in the canyon. It offers some of the best views in the canyon as you hike along an exposed ridge deeper into the canyon. You also get the chance to see lots of interesting geology right along the trail. You can expect to see lots of other hikers and you can even see mules on this trail.
